TOKYO: The Bank of Japan’s profit jumped 47% and its assets rose 33% in the six months through September from a year ago as governor Haruhiko Kuroda provided unprecedented stimulus to stoke inflation.
Net income was 588 billion yen (US$5bil), the highest since the same period in 2001, the central bank said in Tokyo.
