Debate competition on ‘Does Internet mean death of newspapers’ held

BARAMULLA, Nov 26:  Army conducted a debate competition for schools at Thimayya hall in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
An official said six schools debated on “Does Internet mean death of newspapers”. In the competition, twelve budding talents displayed their oratory skills and brought out there views.
He said prominent educationists were invited as judges for the event who expressed great satisfaction in the standard displayed by the students.
The St Joseph School won the competition while Baramulla public school bagged the second position and Govt Girls Higher secondary the third position. The best speaker was also from St. Joseph School.
“All the participants were given prizes,” he said. The event was conducted by Army’s 46 Rashtriya Rifles Unit.
