Man detained for raping teenaged niece-turned-step daughter at knife point in Indore

A 30-year-old man Rakesh was detained by Chandan Nagar police here on Wednesday for allegedly raping his 14-year-old niece-turned-step daughter for over three months.

INDORE: A 30-year-old man Rakesh was detained by Chandan Nagar police here on Wednesday for allegedly raping his 14-year-old niece-turned-step daughter for over three months.
Rakesh, a resident of Nandan Nagar locality was detained and booked under Sections 376, 506 of IPC, besides provisions of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act 2012.
According to investigating officer and sub-inspector of Chandan Nagar police SS Rajput, the teenaged girl is the daughter of Rakesh’s elder brother Pappu, who died two years ago.
After that Rakesh married Pappu’s wife.
Rakesh allegedly was raping the teenager since last three months at knife point before the eyes of the girl’s mother.
Owing to fear of being killed by Rakesh, the mother-daughter duo was afraid of reporting the agony to police. But on Wednesday, the girl’s mother gathered courage and informed the matter to neighbours, after which it was reported to Chandan Nagar police. Subsequently, Rakesh was detained and booked for rape.
