Haiti - Diaspora : Jean Monestime writing a new chapter in the history of American politics 26/11/2014 08:41:14 From 1 January 2015, Jean Monestime, Haitian-American, a native of Saint-Louis du Nord, will chair the 13-member structure responsible for administering the largest county in the state of Florida with a budget estimated at more US $6 billion. François Guillaume II, the Minister of Haitians Living Abroad, declared "Jean Monestime wrote a new page in the history of American politics by becoming the first Haitian-American to hold this position in the State of Florida. On behalf of the administration Martelly/Lamothe, the MHAVE wish continued success to Mr. Monestime in his new role."
