PUNE: The valedictory function for the army officers undergoing Tank Technology Course Serial No 42 (TTC-42) at Military Institute of Training (MILIT) at Girinagar concluded on November 25.
The ceremony was presided over by Lt Gen K Surendranath, chief of staff, Headquarter Southern Command as the chief guest in the presence of Rear Adm A S Sethi, commandant and director and faculty of MILIT.
Lt Gen Surendranath gave an inspiring address to the student officers and congratulated them for successful completion of the 10 month long course.
He stressed on the need to employ the power of technology and other aspects of knowledge acquired during TTC in Combat Vehicle Design and to gain tactical advantage on the battlefield. The ceremony concluded with awards to the meritorious officers.
Maj Karamjeet Sangwan of TTC-42, was awarded armoured corps gold medal and MILIT Rolling Trophy for standing first in the order of merit and Maj Vaibhav Sinha was awarded the Major Neeraj Sinha memorial trophy for best all round performance.
Tank Technology Course imparts the young officers of the mechanized forces with the technologies of armoured fighting vehicles in vogue. It prepares the budding officers to face the challenges on the ever-evolving modern battlefield in the plains, deserts, mountains and urban terrain.
