Serena Williams, Kobe Bryant and others react to Micheal Brown decision

New Delhi: Crime, in whichever form it comes, disturbs everybody. Sporting mega-stars included. When a United States jury failed to indict police officer Darren Wilson over the infamous shooting of black teen, Micheal Brown in Ferguson, the likes of Serena Williams and Kobe Bryant chose to join the thousands of protesters and criticize the decision which carries a cynicism more negating than the crime itself.

Tennis super-star, Williams took on micro-blogging site Twitter on vent out her anger. The 18-time Grand Slam winner slammed the decision to let go Wilson as as “Shameful” and asked “What will it take?”

The 33-year-old was joined by basketball super-star Kobe Bryant on the same platform, the Los Angeles Lakers' shooting guard was more empathetic of the whole event and questioned the system which “enables young black men to be killed behind the mask of law.”

Basketball legend, Magic Johnson also pitched in his discontent.

They were joined by other National Basketball Association (NBA) stars like Steve Nash, Baron Davis, Dwyane Wade; American football players Chris Kluwe, Reggie Bush, Jonathan Martin; and ice hockey player Ian Cole.

Brown,18, black man, was fatally shot in the head twice by Wilson, 28, a white police officer on August 9 in a Ferrguson suburb of Missouri, which resulted in civil unrest in US. On Monday, a grand jury arrived in a verdict not to indict the police officer.
