PUNE: Two hotel employees were beaten up and robbed of their valuables within half an hour of each other on Marunji Road, Hinjewadi, on Sunday night. Both the men, who worked at different restaurants, were attacked by three men on a motorcycle while walking home from work.
Subroto Roy (20) and Raju Chatri (20) of Marunji have lodged complaints with the Hinjewadi police station.

S G Shinde, sub-inspector of the Hinjewadi police station, told TOI that Roy was paid a salary of Rs 10,000 on Sunday and was carrying the amount with him.
Around 12.30am, three men on a motorcycle stopped him on Marunji Road, pretended to ask him for directions, but instead started beating him up. "They robbed him of his entire salary and cell phone, all worth Rs 15,000," Shinde said.
About half an hour later, Chatri was also targeted while walking home.
"The trio on the motorcycle thrashed him and fled with Rs 1,500 and a cell phone," Shinde said.
