Guarantee to Services Act may be tabled this session

MUMBAI: The Right to Services Act will be called the Guarantee to Services Act. In Marathi, it will be termed as Sewa Hami Adhiniyam in Marathi. Mantralaya sources said the draft notification will be finalized in the next few days and submitted to CM Devendra Fadnavis before December 3, the deadline for submission.
Across the country, 19 states already have the Guarantee to Services Act, Madhya Pradesh being the first to implement it, followed by Bihar.Sources said the Act would be similar to that in other states.
“Like RTI Act, that is not being well implemented, there is fear that this Act too may face resistance from within the government,’’ said sources.
Fadnavis has promised that the Act will be introduced either during the winter session or in March.
