Guess what singer Ivy Kombo has been up to? Well, the sultry prophetess and wife to revered Apostle Admire Kasi recently graduated with a Master of Laws (LLM) degree in International Commercial Law with a distinction from the University of Bedfordshire in the United Kingdom. The “Nguva Yakawana” singer took to her Facebook page where she shared pictures with husband Apostle Kasi on cloud nine.

“Praise The Lord!” she wrote on her timeline.

“Music is my number one hobby and I will not quit. I know I have been quiet for a long time, but that is how it is in life. I passed [the degree] with a 2.1 class and I will certainly practise law but my music comes first. I am so happy as this is the fulfilment of the scripture which says ‘Seek ye the Kingdom of God first and all things will be added unto you’.

“After serving the Lord from a teen age, preaching in the rural areas and going without food for the gospel, praying in the mountains, sacrificing school time and giving to the needy, I have seen all the achievements being a fulfilment of scripture. This is my own story and no one can take it away from me,” Prophetess Ivy Kombo told an online publication.

It appears there is no end in accolades coming Ivy’s way with the latest being the law degree.

She has been determined to grow both spiritually and academically.

Before she relocated to Luton, England, Ivy had become an idol for aspiring female gospel singers. Young singers, among them Esther Mukazika and Marble Madondo, all followed in her footsteps.

Without a doubt, Ivy possessed both the stamina and the swag of a diva.

But wherever she went trouble followed her like a shadow with rumours abound that she had an extra-marital affair with Kasi while she was still married to now ex-husband Edmore Moyo.

Musically, Ivy has been there and done that ever since she burst on the scene first as a member of the famed Agea then later as a solo performer.

She was one of the first Zimbabwean female gospel divas to collaborate with the South Africans – Lundi, Buhle, Thembinkosi and the late Vuyo Mokoena.
