German students visit Panjab University department of Gandhian Studies

A delegation of international students from students of Alice Eleonoren Schule and Schule of Bergerstral, Darmstadt from Germany on Tuesday visited Panjab University's department of Gandhian and Peace Studies on Tuesday.

CHANDIGARH: A delegation of international students from students of Alice Eleonoren Schule and Schule of Bergerstral, Darmstadt from Germany on Tuesday visited Panjab University's department of Gandhian and Peace Studies on Tuesday.
The school students, who are in the city as part of an Indo-German project, interacted with faculty members, students and research scholars.
The visiting students, curious to know more about Mahatma Gandhi, asked questions on his philosophy and its relevance for coming generations. They also visited the departmental library and the committee room, where the exhibition on thoughts related to Vaishnav elements is on display.
The delegation was part of Vivek High School's project on understanding borders. The project is being run under the aegis of Deutsches Indisches Klassenzimmer 2014 initiative by the Max Muller Bhavan, New Delhi and is sponsored by the Robert Bosch Foundation.
