George Eads signs off on 'CSI'

After 15 seasons on the hit CBS investigative series, George Eads is exiting CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, reports TV Guide.

He joined the show in 2000, playing a Sin City forensic scientist.

His run on the show wasn't always smooth. In 2004, he and co-star Jorja Fox didn't show up for Season 5, reportedly over salary issues, and were briefly canned, before being reinstated.

Of the show's original cast members, Eads was the last one. William Petersen, who played supervisor Gil Grissom, left in 2011 and Marg Helgenberger, as Catherine Willows, departed a year later, with her final episode as a regular airing in January 2012.
