Narayana Health acquires hospitals

In a bid to transform its identity from a heart-care services giant to multi-speciality healthcare network, Dr Devi Shetty-led Narayana Health is planning to expand its portfolio in cancer and kidney care services in metro, non-metro, Tier II and Tier III cities of India by adding up four-five hospital units to its kitty every year.

KOLKATA: In a bid to transform its identity from a heart-care services giant to multi-speciality healthcare network, Dr Devi Shetty-led Narayana Health is planning to expand its portfolio in cancer and kidney care services in metro, non-metro, Tier II and Tier III cities of India by adding up four-five hospital units to its kitty every year. The group on Monday announced the acquisition of two Westbank Hospital units in Howrah.
This is the second acquisition by the Bengaluru-based group in West Bengal following the takeover of Jubilant’s hospital business earlier this year.
Dr Ashutosh Raghuvanshi group CEO, Narayana Health, told TOI: “We are planning to set up dedicated units for cancer and kidney care in every region.“
