Rough is the first Telugu film I signed: Rakul Preet

Pretty and charming with oodles of sex appeal, that���s what sums up actress Rakul Preet Singh. The four-film old actress,who delivered backto- back hits with Venkatadri Express, Loukyam and Current Theega, is gearing up for another movie opposite Aadi, titled Rough. Interestingly, this movie, directed by CH Subba Reddy, was the first film Rakul signed and shot for in Tollywood!
���We had started shooting for this film last year in January, but due to some issues, the shooting was halted.But finally, things fell in place and we completed the shoot three months ago,��� shares the pretty actress. Talking about the film, she says it���s a ���commercial entertainer that has a mix of love story and action in it���. ���It has three main characters ��� Aadi, me and my brother, played by the late Srihari. It portrays a beautiful relationship between brother and sister,��� says Rakul.
And if her experience is anything to go by, she had a blast while shooting for the movie. ���When you enter an industry, a lot of it is shaped by how your first experience was. And thankfully, the one month that I shot for, was great. I didn���t know a word of Telugu then, but everyone was very encouraging, and that gave me a huge boost,��� shares the actress.
Recounting a hilarious moment from the shoot, she says, ���The second day of the shoot, I was required to slap Dhanraj. I was nervous about it, but he said, ���Don���t worry. I���ll move when you slap me���. We weren���t really recording the scene, but I was under the impression that we were and I slapped him; and he didn���t move! I was so embarrassed, because it was just my second day.��� In most of her films, the actress��� roles have been different ��� in fact, her last movie saw her play the role of a school girl! So, what can we expect from this film? ���Well, I play role of a rich girl, but who���s a complete girl-next-door in her attitude and is also a philanthropist,��� signs off Rakul.
Rough, produced by Abhilash Madhavaram and presented by M Sudarshan Rao under Sridevi Entertainments banner, is releasing on Nov 28.
