Police recovers two bodies in two different incident in Uttarakhand

We have sent the bodies for postmortem examination, Haldwani’s Circle Officer GC Tamta told the Indian Express.

Haridwar police recovered the body of Anil Johari (about 50 yrs), who was posted Senior DGM, BHEL in Haridwar near the Railway track near Bhagat Singh roundabout on Monday. Police believe that it is a case of accident.

On being contacted, DIG (Garhwal range) Sanjay Gunjayal said Johari was staying with his family in Haridwar’s Jawalapur area. He added he was alcoholic. According to him, he had left his house on Sunday evening. “Prima facie it is a case of accident. We are still to get autopsy report,” Gunjayal replied to a question on the state assembly premises.

Meanwhile in another incident, Haldwani police on Tuesday recovered the body of 7-year-old girl Kashish from anrea near the Sheeshmahal area under the Kathgodam police station of Nainital district. Kashish went missing on November 20 from near Ramleela Maidan in Haldwani.

She, along with her family members had gone to attend a marriage ceremony at Ramleela ground on November 20.

“We have recovered the body. Investigation is on. We have already sent the body for postmortem examination,” Haldwani’s Circle Officer GC Tamta told the Indian Express on phone.
