Narrow escape for driver after Mercedes car catches fire in Mumbai

A Mercedes owner narrowly survived an incident when his vehicle caught fire on Bandra reclamation road this afternoon. The sedan owner was driving the vehicle and was alone, said the police.

MUMBAI: A Mercedes owner narrowly survived when his vehicle caught fire on the Bandra reclamation road this afternoon. The sedan owner was driving the vehicle and was alone, said the police.
The driver of the car was heading towards Kalanagar junction from Worli when the incident took place after crossing the toll collection point on Bandra Worli Sea-Link said the police.

The vehicle owner noticed smoke emanating from the engine after which he parked the vehicle on the roadside and came out of the car. Within minutes the vehicle caught fire. The police informed the fire brigade about the incident. The Bandra police are inquiring into the incident.
