Maitiga air base in Tripoli was targeted by a Libyan air force jet. The strikes were redirected at the city of Misrata, but later resumed at Maitiga.

The attacks hit an area close to the runway without causing any damage, however, it caused some damage to nearby civilian homes.

Noteworthy, Maitiga is the last functioning airport in the Libyan capital, Tripoli.

In addition, Airlines have been using Maitiga since July, after the severe damage in Tripoli's main international airport.
