Manan falters to help Clarke reach knockout stage
BENGALURU: Jamie Clarke of Wales made the most of Manan Chandra's largesse to score a 4-2 win over the Indian and storm into the knockout round of the Seaways IBSF World Snooker Championships at the Sree Kanteerava Indoor Stadium on Monday.
Former National champion Chandra appeared to have the match in control when he took a 2-1 lead with a 67 break in the second frame and aided by huge slices of luck, took the third frame of the best-of-seven-frame encounter as well.

However, the momentum swung decisively in the Welshman's favour from the fourth frame onwards as the error-prone Chandra kept finding the jaw instead of the pockets with regularity.
Despite his second straight defeat, Chandra joined Clarke in the knockout as the top four players from each group advance to the next stage.
