Michelle MacLaren is set to develop and direct Warner Bros.’ “Wonder Woman” movie starring Gal Gadot.

As Variety previously reported, MacLaren had been in talks to come on board as the film’s director for some time and sources now confirm she’s signed on. Charles Roven is producing.

Warner Bros. had no comment on the story. The pic will bow in 2017.

Plot details of the Wonder Woman feature are unknown. It’s also unclear whether or not this will be an origin film, since Gadot will first appear as the comics heroine in “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice,” which opens in March 2016.

Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara recently announced the DC slate at an investor meeting last month, which includes new DC/Justice League films from Batman, The Flash, Green Lantern, Aquaman and more.

MacLaren is repped by ICM Partners.
