Representatives from the club will travel to the Hyatt Ridges Hotel for the conference which will start at 7pm.
It comes after Country Rugby League CEO Terry Quinn was quoted in a Newscorp paper on Sunday voicing his support for the embattled club and its followers.
Speaking about the case, Quinn said “We just can’t have a town like Kempsey without Rugby League.”
Quinn’s latest statement should come as welcome news to Mustangs secretary Bruce Cain who has been working overtime to ensure the club continues to run smoothly despite the lingering threat of dismissal from the Group 3 competition.
He said the confirmation of the meeting is another positive step in the right direction for the club.
“It is a big piece of the puzzle,” he said.
“The sooner we have this sorted out, the sooner we can go back to focusing the every day running of the club. There are still so many things to take care of both in administration and in terms of football but we are making progress which is good”
Mr Cain and the rest of the Mustangs management will be hoping it is a case of third time lucky for the club who have the dubious honour of twice being voted out of the competition.
They have already begun planning for life after the verdict with a fund raiser for club to be held four days after the meeting on December 13 at Verge st Oval.
The club is also in talks to set up a shop front in town and is in the process of making their own website.
