Last action hero Christian Eriksen admitted it was down to the players to cure Tottenham's dreadful home record after another great escape on the road.
Eriksen's 90th-minute winner at Hull catapulted Spurs to within two points of the top four - a staggering feat for a team yet to hit their stride this season.
After potting his fourth Premier League goal of the campaign, the Danish midfielder distanced himself from team-mate Emmanuel Adebayor's cop-out remark that Tottenham players are frightened to play in front of their own fans at White Hart Lane.
Adebayor missed the 2-1 win on Humberside with a sore back, but Spurs have two home games in 72 hours - in the Europa League against Partizan Belgrade and next Sunday against Everton - to prove the Togo striker wrong.
And Eriksen believes Tottenham's third away win in the League, all of them sealed in the 90th minute against 10 men, could be the springboard towards a top-four challenge.
He said: "We hope it will turn out like that. We can take a lot of good things and a lot of confidence with us from this win, but we still have to work hard and improve a lot.

"Of course we know the fans expect more from us at home, and we do as well. If we don't win, they are not happy - it's normal. It's nothing to do with that (the atmopshere), we just need to play better at home."
Eriksen, hauled off at the interval, had been head coach Mauricio Pochettino's fall-guy when Spurs struggled against Aston Villa and Stoke in their two previous games.
But after his free-kick against the post led to equaliser at Hull, and a fine shot for the winner, he hopes Poch Spice will trust him more to influence games from an advanced midfield role.
He said: "At home I am a marked man (by opponents denying Tottenham space), but it's something I wanted to show. The last two games I was pulled out after 45 minutes.
"Every player wants to play more than 45 minutes, but it's the decision of the coach. Luckily I got a little bit more time on the pitch at Hull to show what I can do, and the confidence to play a bit more.
"That was probably my most important goal so far - the one against Southampton at home was also important, but I think overall this was my best game (this season).
"A lot of players still need to find our way (to get the best out of Pochettino's system), me as well. But I enjoy taking on the responsibility - I am a player who loves to get on the ball.
"I don't think you have anything of me if I don't have the ball. Luckily today I could get the ball a lot, I tried to create some good chances and, in the end, luckily we got the three points.
"Are we good enough to reach the top four? "We need to improve, because we have some good games and bad games. When we become more stable, we will have a good season."
