The shooting of the much-awaited "Chirakodinja Kinavukal", starring Kunchacko Boban and Rima Kallingal, has begun.

The film, which is touted as a comedy film, is reportedly inspired by Sreenivasan's character, Ambujakshan, in the 1996 Mammootty starrer, "Azhakiya Ravanan". In the film, Ambujakshan, a self-proclaimed novelist, wishes to make a film based on his novel, but fails to find a producer for his film.

"Chirakodinja Kinavukal" is directed by Santhosh Vishwanathan and he had earlier announced that the film is going to be a comedy entertainer with many surprising elements.

The film will also see Rima and Kunchacko playing pair for the first time.

Rima, who was busy with the inauguration and promotions of her dance school "Mamangam", is now back to the screen after a gap of nearly a year. She was last seen in "Ezhu Sundara Rathrikal", which got lukewarm response from the audience.

She has also signed a film with her husband and director Aashiq Abu for the film "Rani Padmini". This upcoming film will also see her sharing screen space with Manju Warrier.

For Kunchacko, his last release was "Bhaiyya Bhaiyya", with Biju Menon, which failed to make a mark at the box office and the actor is currently waiting for the release of his film, "Cousins", directed by Vyshakh. The film also has Indrajith, Joju George and Suraj Venjaramoodu in the lead.

The shooting locations of "Chirakodinja Kinavukal" are Kochi and Thodupuzha. The film has a star cast of Sreenivasan, Joy Mathew, Murali Gopi, Srinda, Edavela Babu, Jacon Gregory and Sunil Sukatha.

The film is produced by Listin Stephen, under the banner of Magic Frames. Stephen has previously produced films like "Traffic", "Chappa Kurish", "Ustaad Hotel" and "How Old Are You?" He is known in the industry for bringing out films with some a fresh approach and the audience are expecting yet another unique project from his production.
