Dubai-based business intelligence tool MEED will host an "Invest in Egypt" conference under the auspices of both Egypt and United Arab Emirates governments, on 26-27 November in Abu Dhabi to profile investment opportunities in various sectors.

The event, organised in partnership with Cairo-based Public Strategy and Government Relations firm N Gage Consulting, will feature Egyptian and Emirati government officials, as well as private sector firms operating in Egypt, including investment bank EFG-Hermes, private equity firm Qalaa Holdings and UAE-based oil and gas firm Dana Gas.

The conference aims to profile investment opportunities in Egypt's infrastructure, banking, real estate, power, petrochemicals and manufacturing sectors, and provide an initial guide to the investment framework for the county over the next five to 10 years.

A major economic summit aimed at encouraging international investment in Egypt after years of political and economic turmoil is scheduled to be held in March of next year in the Red Sea resort town of Sharm Al-Sheikh
