Jammu Police have dispatched its team to Madhya Pradesh to trace and identify credentials of a 25-year-old youth who was shot by Border Security Force (BSF).

BHOPAL: Jammu Police have dispatched its team to Madhya Pradesh to trace and identify credentials of a 25-year-old youth who was shot by Border Security Force (BSF) on suspicion that he was sneaking into Pakistan through the International Border at Kanchak sub-sector of Jammu on November 19.
"We are close to the identification of the deceased. Details are being collected from MP," inspector general, Jammu, Rajesh Kumar told TOI.
He however refused to reveal more detail about the case.
Meanwhile MP police conducted another round of search in Shivpuri district on the basis of information on the voter identity card against which the SIM found in suspect's pocket was activated.
Address of SIM found in his pocket was traced to Pohri area in state's Shivpuri district. Police also questioned the proprietor of shop - Swan Continental - located at Ganjbasoda area in Vidisha district from where the SIM was issued.
Suspect was shot near the Pak border close to Sohan border outpost. BSF had got a mobile phone besides pictures of Hindu goddesses from his possession. They referred the matter to Jammu police for further investigation which subsequently forwarded details of the SIM to Bhopal crime branch and police headquarters.
