Several major non-ticketed events to be held ahead of VADFEST 2015 announced

Tourism Minister Saurabh Patel and musician/singer AR Rahman today addressed a press conference in Ahmedabad and made several announcements on VADFEST 2015, a festival to be organized in Vadodara in the month of January.
Shri Saurabh Patel in his address announced events open to public(without ticket) that are to be held ahead of VADFEST(which has ticket events).
Events open for public without any ticket at Navlakhi ground, opposite Narmada Bhavan from 7.00 pm to 10.00 pm.
16 January

Shopping festival
Minister Saurabh Patel also announced Vadodara Shopping Festival during 15 December – 25 January during which various malls, small-major stores, restaurants, theaters will introduce attractive offers for customers. One who purchases Vadodara Shopping Festival bag will get lucky draw coupons. Shop keepers will give one coupon per purchase of Rs. 500 items. On Gold and white goods purchase a coupon will be issued on purchase of items worth Rs. 2500. Final mega prizes will be gold, car, apartment and white goods vouchers, while weekly bumper prizes will include discount coupons, gift vouchers, jewellery and VadFest ticket.
