Former Mongolian PM seriously injured in car accident

Former Mongolian Prime Minister Norov Altankhuyag was seriously injured in a car accident Sunday, according to media reports.

Altankhuyag's vehicle overturned when he was riding in it near his private resort camp in the northeast of Ulan Bator, the capital city.

Altankhuyag broke his clavicle and suffered spinal injury. Doctors advised him to seek treatment abroad immediately.

Mongolian media speculated that Altankhuyag might go to South Korea for treatment.

The 56 year-old former prime minister was removed from his post following a no-confidence vote in Parliament on Nov. 5 amid concerns about a serious economic downturn in his landlocked country. Endi
