SHOPIAN, Nov 22: Communist Party of India Marxist (CPIM) general secretary, Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami today said that no attempt of communal forces would be entertained to erode Article 370 and any such move would be dealt sternly by all well wishers of Kashmiris in India.
Tarigami was addressing his supporters after Zahoor Ahmad Rather and Abdul Rashid Pandit filed their nominations for Wachi and Shopian constituencies, respectively.
While charging Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Tarigami said let BJP exert all its forces to abrogate Article 370.
“No one has power to abrogate Article 370 as there are forces within India which do not  believe in communal politics,” said Tarigami, adding that many people in India have realized the injustices done to Kashmir on part from India.
He further said injustices need to be addressed and the root cause of injustices was in the stalled dialogue between India and Pakistan.
He demanded resumption of Indo-Pak talks at the earliest. He further said that there have been injustices done to the residents of Shopian district who have been neglected on development front.
“Awami Muthida Mahaaz would be part of Government and it would strengthen Article 370,” said Tarigami, adding the myth that Article 370 is an impediment to development would cease to be existent.
