Van gutted at Falaknuma
A minor fire broke out in an automobile garage near Falaknuma Palace on Saturday.
HYDERABAD: A minor fire broke out in an automobile garage near Falaknuma Palace on Saturday.
According to the firemen from Moghalpura Fire Station (MFS), a Maruti Omni that was brought to the garage for a paint job caught fire around 9 am. A fire tender was rushed to the spot and the flames were doused within a few minutes.
“There are a number of sheds near the temple where vehicles are repaired.While most of them have proper enclosures, this garage didn’t. The car has been gutted in the fire,” said one of the officials who did not wish to be identified. The owner of the car, one Naseeruddin, has remained untraceable, he added.
Firemen said that the cause of fire is yet to be ascertained.
