Eastleigh clinched their first away league win since the opening day of the season with victory at Aldershot.
Shots defender Sam Hatton saw a fine free-kick saved before Craig McAllister swept the ball home from close range.
Shots keeper Phil Smith kept out Jai Reason's strike after Ross Flitney had denied Naby Diallo at the other end.
Eastleigh doubled the lead after Jaydon Gibbs was adjudged to have handled the ball and Stuart Fleetwood steered his penalty into the corner.
Aldershot Town boss Andy Scott told BBC Surrey:
"I cannot believe we have lost because there was not a lot between the two sides especially in the first half. The conviction in the final third wasn't quite there and that was the only criticism.
"Second-half we pounded them with chance after chance, we could have had two nailed on penalties and we got one against us. It's not sour grapes, it's the truth and I think anyone watching today's game will wonder how we didn't get something from the match.
"We just said to the boys, let's not detract from from the performance and the fact is we are still performing well but we have some tired legs. There's a few voices in the crowd and I don't get it."
