The entrance examination for Master of Business Administration in International Business (MBA IB) program at the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) is to be conducted from 10 am to 12 noon on Sunday, November 23, 2014. The written exam is for admissions into the full-time two-year residential MBA IB program, offered at the New Delhi and Kolkata campuses of IIFT.

The candidates need to carry their admit cards and any one of the following documents to the test center - Passport, Election I-Card, College I-Card, Driving License or PAN Card, for verification purposes on the day of exam. The candidates must make sure that they reach the venue of the test at least half an hour prior to the time for the exam.

The IIFT entrance examination is on the next day of the Day 2 of Common Admission Test 2014 (CAT 2014) which is on Saturday, November 22, 2014.

The admit cards for the IIFT entrance examination were dispatched to the candidates in the first week of November, 2014. The applicants who have not received their admit cards till now are advised to download the same from the official website of the institute. This year the candidates were also provided with the option of test center change requests. Candidates need to retain the photocopies of the completed application form and Demand Draft (DD) for future reference.

The IIFT admission test would be a multiple choice objective type Written Test (in English). It consists of questions covering sections like English Comprehension, General Knowledge & Awareness, Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Analysis. It will be of two-hour duration.

The final selection of the students for the program would be based on their performance in written test, Group Discussion (GD), Essay Writing (EW) and Personal Interview (PI). Candidates, short listed on the basis of marks obtained in the written test will be invited for the second phase of the selection process consisting of the GD, EW and PI, which will be conducted in Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow and Mumbai centers during January/February, 2015.

The written test is to be conducted at centers located in Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Bangalore, Bhubeneshwar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore, Dehradun, Delhi, Guwahati, Hydrabad, Indore, Jaipur, Jamshedpur, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur and Visakhapatnam.

Foreign Nationals, Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) and Children of NRIs can also get admissions in IIFT. Admission for such candidates will be on the basis of their Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) scores, which should not have been declared before Tuesday, January 1, 2013 and should be received by the institute latest by Tuesday, March 31, 2015. The last date for receipt of applications from these candidates is Monday, February 16, 2015.
