PDA is the new black.
A spy tells Page Six that “Orange Is the New Black” star Samira Wiley and her show-writer girlfriend, Lauren Morelli, looked “very cozy” while hitting the dance floor at Thursday’s OUT100 Awards at Stage 48.
Wiley, one of the night’s honorees, and Morelli were first romantically linked earlier this year. In September, TMZ reported that Morelli had filed for divorce from her husband of two years, Steve Basilone.
The actress, 27, is featured on one of the new OUT100 20th anniversary covers and opens up about her relationship with her Baptist pastor parents inside the magazine. In 2007, her parents’ church was the only traditionally black Baptist church in D.C. to perform same-sex unions, the mag reports.
“I feel like oftentimes in the church people get caught up in literal translations of the Bible. But that’s not the home I grew up in,” Wiley said. “I was just taught that love is the most powerful thing. And being able to see that and see my parents on the forefront of that made such a big impact on my life.”
Ellen Page, Sam Smith and Zachary Quinto were also among the night’s honorees. “OITNB” star Lea DeLaria hosted the festivities, also attended by Paul Bettany, LuAnn de Lesseps and Neil Patrick Harris’ husband, David Burtka.
