WATCH: Man hides shotgun before shooting trike passengers in Tondo

A shotgun-wielding asssailant is being tracked down after he fired at two pedestrians on Panday Pira Street in Manila's Tondo district, killing one and wounding another.

A Closed-circuit television captured the shooting, GMA News' Emil Sumangil reported on "24 Oras."

Local barangay captain, Rod Dino, identified the shooter as Marlon Custodio, who fled the scene on a passing motorcycle.

The fatality was identified as Ricardo Cando, while the injured was one "Eding Mata".

According to investigators, "Eding Mata" was Custodio's target.

"Ang pagkakaalam ko rito, dumating yung pagkakataon na nasaktan nuong Eding Mata yung kapatid ni Marlon Custodio," said Dino.

Cando's sister Violeta, meanwhile, was vehement that her brother did no one any harm. "Walang pamilya yun, tahimik na tao, nadamay lang," she said.

Meanwhile, Dino appealed to Custodio to give himself up. "Magbigay alam ka na, kung nasaan ka. At ako na mismo ang kusang loob na kukuha sa iyo para di na lumala ang iyong kaso," he appealed. — Joel Locsin/NB/DVM, GMA News
