AirAsia India Will Now Fly to Pune

AirAsia India has expanded its operations in the country and will now be flying to Pune. The airline is offering an introductory all-inclusive one-way fare of Rs 1499 from Bengaluru to Pune and vice versa.

AirAsia India is also offering flights on the Pune-Jaipur route for Rs 2999 (all-inclusive). The promotional offer is valid for travel between December 17 and January 17, 2015; tickets can be booked till November 23, 2014.

In September, the airline had expanded its operations for the first time outside south India to Jaipur and Chandigarh. During the same month AirAsia group chief executive officer Tony Fernandes had said the airline would start operating on the Mumbai route "soon".

In the domestic circuit, AirAsia India was so far operating in the Bangalore to Kochi, Chennai, Chandigarh, Jaipur and Goa sectors.

AirAsia India, a three-way venture between Malaysia-based AirAsia Berhad, Tata Group and Delhi-based investment firm Telestra Tradeplace, had launched its maiden flight on June 12 from Bangalore to Goa.

Indian skies have been witnessing an aggressive fare war, particularly after the entry of AirAsia India.
