Anas Rashid, Gauahar Khan make their singing debut

Anas Rashid, who plays Sooraj in Shashi and Sumeet Mittal's 'Diya Aur Baati Hum', will soon make his singing debut on the show; he will croon spiritual song 'Aye Maalik Tere Bande Hum'.Incidentally , it was Anas who had requested to be given the opportunity. Although he recorded the song at the time of the shoot, the actor was not satisfied with the it. He returned to the studio at 12 in the midnight to re- record it.

Says Anas, “The opportunity reminded me of the golden era of Bollywood when an actor used to playback for his own songs. I requested the music director to give me two days to prepare for the song since I am raw and new to the art. I enjoyed the experience thoroughly .“ The actor now plans to pursue music whenever he gets the time. he dusky Gauahar T Khan, who is seen as the vivacious host of the show India's Raw Star , has also decided to pursue singing, professionally. While on the show recently , the actress crooned Khwabon Ke Parinday from Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and she received an over whelming response from the participants and the audiences. She says, “Guess, singing helps because I am already a dancer. I have done many item numbers, and this would be an added advantage if I get professionally trained and sing the songs too. The mentors and contestants inspired me to sing. I have always been a bathroom singer, however I shed my inhibitions this time around. I practised the song and sang it on the show. The response was great. I feel that I should now professionally train to be a singer."
