Unlimited Fun: Meena Bazaar, the annual fair at La Martiniere Girls College, witnessed a huge gathering of women yet again this year. The theme this time was Aavo Gujarat Che, and so, visitors turned up wearing all hues of traditional ensembles.
“India is a country that shows unity in diversity, every state has its own culture and heritage. We just wanted our students to get aware of the nation’s rich culture.
And it is very good to see all the girls have followed the dress code,” said Poonam Khanna, the teacher who helmed the event at the school.
Apart from buying wares from numerous stalls put up by parents and staff, visitors had an opportunity to participate in various competitions and win goodies. Swati Arya won the prize for Best Mehendi, Ayusha Mehrotra for Beautiful Eyes, Kinza Zehra for Beautiful Smile and Nirvaani Razan for best Matka Decoration.
Double Celebration: The evening saw the young ladies vying for the title of Miss Meena Bazaar. The event was judged by principal Farida Abraham, Nidhi Prakash, Namita Prasad and Priyanka Sarkar.
Ishani Tandon clinched the title of Ms Meena Bazaar, with Pankhuri Gidvani as first Runners-Up and Bhavika Chaturvedi as Second Runners-Up.
