K Chandrasekhar Rao gives 'Operation Bluestar' threat

The CM was furious with Mr Reddy for calling him Dora

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister Mr K. Chandrasekhar Rao warned Telugu Desam MLA Mr A. Revanth Reddy on Thursday of “Operation Bluestar”, if he continued to make false allegations against him and his family.

Mr Rao lashed out in the Assembly when Mr Revanth Reddy asked what he would do if he continued to make allegations against him and said that he would take up “Operation Bluestar” (the military action to remove Sikh militants from the Golden Temple in Amritsar when Indira Gandhi was the prime minister).

The CM added that he had lakhs of supporters in the state who would teach Mr Reddy a befitting lesson. Mr Reddy attracted the CM’s wrath after he made a statement in the House on land allotment deals in Rayadurg during the previous Congress regime.

The CM was furious with Mr Reddy for calling him “Dora”, a term used to describe a feudal lord in Telangana. “What allegations are they making against me and my family members?

They say a dora has allotted costly lands to Nandagiri dora (referring to J. Rameshwara Rao), allowed increase in cement prices to benefit Nandagiri dora and increased medical colleges’ fees to benefit another dora. Is this the way we speak? Is this the way of degradation of public life?” Mr Rao asked.

“During the Telangana movement too, several anti Telangana forces took up a vicious campaign against us. We could overcome these because of our fighting spirit and the support of the people.

The same forces are now conducting training classes for some members here and sending them to level false allegations against us to obstruct the growth of Telangana. We will not allow this to happen," the CM added.
