Amazon Starting Black Friday Sales A Week Earlier
Amazon is taking its best shot at giving holiday shoppers an anxiety attack by announcing their Black Friday is actually happening a whole week earlier than scheduled. What this means is that consumers can get the best deals a week earlier but it also means that Amazon is ushering in the holiday season before Thanksgiving arrives, which is maddening to some folks.
Starting November 21, online shoppers will be able to participate in Amazon’s “Deals Week.” Amazon’s slogan for this marketing tactic is, “Because it’s never too early for a good deal.” Although some find this ridiculous, others are saying that it will keep people out of the stores when Black Friday starts for other retailers.
The official announcement from Amazon reads, “Black Friday 2014 is almost here, but we didn’t want you to wait until the day after Thanksgiving for Black Friday deals, so we kicked off the savings a little early. We are counting down to the big day with even more deals, all day, every day. You’ll find Amazon’s fantastic early Black Friday sales right here. Also, don’t forget to subscribe to our daily deals e-mails so you don’t miss any deals.”
Consumers are already posting responses to Amazon’s early Black Friday.
