MIDC to construct new guest house in Sinnar

NASHIK: The Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) is planning to construct a new guest house in its Malegaon industrial estate in Sinnar tehsil of the district. The MIDC has already floated a bid for the purpose and the process is expected to be completed within a month.
Speaking to TOI, an MIDC official said, "We have guest houses across all cities in the state. We also have a guest house in the city, but it is a small one.Hence, we were pursuing to build a new guest house in the Sinnar industrial estate near Nashik. Accordingly, the head office has given us an approval to our proposal. We have also floated a bid for constructing the guest house in Malegaon MIDC area in Sinnar, 25 km from here. The guest house is to be constructed for MIDC and other government officials."
"The guest house is to be constructed at a plot admeasuring 1.5 acres reserved for it. The guest house will have three rooms, including two common and one VIP, along with dining hall and passage areas. The construction cost is estimated at Rs 1.11 crore. The construction period is two years after the work order is issued to the contractor concerned," he added.
At present, the MIDC has a guest house in Satpur with five rooms, including three common and two for VIPs.
There are two industrial estates of MIDC - Satpur and Ambad -in the limits of the Nashik Municipal Corporation. Around 3,000 micro, small, medium and large industrial units are located in both the MIDC areas. There are close to 1,500 industrial units in Sinnar industrial estate. The industries across the district are particularly based on two sectors - automobile and electrical.
