Ever since Aishwarya Rai Bachchan conceded during her birthday interaction with the media, that besides Sanjay Gupta’s Jazbaa that takes off on January 10, she has been in talks with other film-makers for more projects, there have speculations about her next.
Interestingly, many films look like strong probables as each needs a strong female protagonist. Though not much is known about Karan Johar’s next directorial venture, it seems she has agreed to be a part of his directorial venture which is said to be a two heroine movie.
The buzz is that she has also been approached for Sujoy Ghosh’s Durga Rani Singh. The female protagonist in this flick plays a 35 year-old mother to a 14-year-old paralytic girl. As of now, only Irrfan has been confirmed as the male lead. Interestingly, Irrfan is also a principal character in Gupta’s Jazbaa.
It seems Prakash Jha is keen to rope in the actress for Gangaajal 2, the sequel to the 2003, Gangaajal. But unlike the original, which had Ajay Devgn as the protagonist, this time round the story demands a female protagonist.
When we asked for a confirmation on the projects, Rai’s spokesperson said, “If there is any news about her films, it will come from the production house. We are are not in a position to comment on anything.”
