Rekha to present an award to Dhanush in Shamitabh?

There has been a lot of speculation about what Rekha’s role in film-maker R Balki’s Shamitabh is. Will she be in the same frame as Amitabh Bachchan, who plays a pivotal role in the film? But now it has come to light that the beautiful actress will be going on stage to present an award to Dhanush, who reportedly plays an actor in the film.
When we contacted Balki he said, “Rekha will be going on stage, but I cannot say anything more that that except that she is too big a star to do just that. There is much more to her part.”
Several film-makers including Mahesh Bhatt, Javed Akhtar, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, Boney Kapoor, Anurag Basu, Rajkumar Hirani, Karan Johar, Ekta Kapoor and Gauri Shinde have been roped in by Balki to do cameos in the film. Shamitabh is produced by Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, Radhakrishnan Damani, Abhishek Bachchan, Gauri Shinde, R Balki and Sunil Lulla, Managing Director, Eros International Media Ltd. The film is presently in post-production and releases on February 6, 2015.
