Jeremy Lin had a nice return to the Toyota Center on Wednesday night.

In addition to his team, the Lakers, picking up the 98-92 win over the Rockets, he also got a warm welcome.

During a timeout in the first quarter, there was a video tribute of Lin on the big screen. After it played, the crowd gave Lin a long, loud cheer.

After the game, Lin said he was touched by gesture. There were some hard feelings over the summer before Lin was traded when the Rockets were pursuing Carmelo Anthony and had a picture of Anthony wearing Lin’s No. 7 Rockets jersey on the front of the building.

“Very classy,” Lin said of the video that played during the game. “They took a lot of heat for the whole jersey thing, the number thing. I feel like (Rockets GM) Daryl Morey tried to make up for that. I had a great conversation with him after it all happened. I don’t know if that’s the reason why or whatever. I don’t think it was malicious on their end.”

He said that his return to Houston was a good one for him.

“It was cool,” he said. “There was emotion and stuff coming back and whatever but I’m glad we got the win and it was fun seeing everybody again.”
