Admissions in MBA programs via CAT 2014 exam scores: Indian School of Mines Dhanbad

Indian School of Mines Dhanbad is granting admissions into Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs for the academic session 2015-17 on the basis of valid Common Admission Test 2014 (CAT 2014) scores. 62 sanctioned seats are available for the two-year full time program.

CAT 2014 started on Sunday, November 16, 2014 and will also be held on Saturday, November 22, 2014. The results are expected to be out by the third week of December, 2014.

ISM Dhanbad is a premier institute offering Master of Technology (M Tech) degree in Industrial Engineering and Management since 1977. The institute launched its All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) approved MBA program under the Department of Management Studies in 1997.

Eligibility:

The candidates applying for MBA program at ISM must have a bachelor's degree after 10+2 in any discipline from a recognized university with at least 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA), which will be 45% for candidates under the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Differently-abled/Persons with Disability (DA/PWD) categories. For honors graduates the aggregate will include marks of both honors and pass papers. The candidates who are appearing for final year exams of their bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification examination may also apply. Preference will be given to candidates with first class in engineering degree or with postgraduate (PG) qualification in any discipline with first class.

Admission Process:

The application forms will be available on the official website of the institute from Monday, December 15, 2014 onward. The last date for submission of the application forms with the fee through Demand Draft (DD) and relevant documents is Friday, February 27, 2015. The documents as mentioned above needs to be submitted to the Assistant Registrar (Academics), Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad - 826004, Jharkhand.

The Candidates who are short-listed on the basis of CAT 2014 scores will be called in for Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) for final selection process. The institute will not issue any letter to any candidate regarding attending the GD/PI rounds or regarding selection for the program. The GD/PI rounds are to be conducted on Monday, April 13 and Tuesday, April 14, 2015.

The results would be declared on the website by Monday, April 27, 2015. The date of admission for merit list candidates and wait list candidates will posted on the website by Monday, June 1, 2015.
