Pulkit Samrat: I hope my pairing with Yami Gautam is accepted

A daily reported that actresses Shruti Haasan, Aditi Rao Hydari and Yami Gautam were approached for Divya Khosla Kumar's next project and that the actresses tuned down the film. However, this is far from the truth. Divya Khosla Kumar, the Yaariyan director and wife of T-Series head honcho Bhushan Kumar, has announced the cast of her next film which will be a romantic film. The film that goes on floors by end of this year, stars Pulkit Samrat, Yami Gautam and Urvashi Rautela.

Says Divya, “I have just finished my script and Bhushan has liked it. We both have mutually agreed on the cast. Pulkit and Yami fits the bill and for this I wanted more mature-looking actors. Post the look test that we did with them, they are looking perfect together.” She adds that the information that those actresses turned down her film is wrong.
Pulkit adds, “I loved the way Divya treated her debut film and it was a hit of 2014. I am happy to be on board for this love story which will be my very first mature love story genre film. My co-star Yami is a great actress and I hope our pairing is accepted well by our audience.”
Says Yami, “Bhushanji once happened to speak to me about Divya’s next film. I loved the look of the lead girl and story flow so much that I knew I want to be a part of the film. Post some look tests and script narration I happily signed on the dotted line. I really like my look and character in the film and I am very excited to start the project.”
The film will be going on floors by end of this year in North India.
