INDORE: Special anti-corruption court in Indore on Wednesday sent a clerk of district education office to three-year imprisonment for taking bribe from a visually challenged teacher. A penalty of Rs 10,000 was also slapped on her.
Special judge Indira Singh found Pusha Thakur guilty and convicted her under Section 7, 13(1)D, 13(2) of Prevention of Corruption Act.

Thakur was caught red-handed taking Rs 2,000 bribe from Ramadhar Sen, an assistant teacher at Primary Girls, in December 2011. Sen was seeking withdrawal of Rs 2 lakh from GPF account to get his child operated. Thereafter, Sen filed a complaint with Lokayukta, and a trap was laid.
