Rise above sectarian division to give mandate to Cong: Bhalla to people

JAMMU, Nov 19: People of Jammu and Kashmir especially Gandhi Nagar constituency need to rise above sectarian division and communal polarisation to give a decisive and inclusive mandate to Congress to ensure equitable development of all regions and sub-regions of the State.
“There are politicians who are coming to this Gandhi Nagar constituency today to seek your votes. You should ask these political parties and their leaders what they have done for the people of this constituency apart from issuing press notes and giving speeches”, said Minister for Culture, Horticulture and Congress party candidate Raman Bhalla while addressing series of public meetings in Rahi Pind, Nanak Nagar, Narwal Pain, Gangyal, Panama Chowk and Shergarh areas of Gandhi Nagar constituency.
“We have to stick together and breach new frontiers of development and progress and be assets for each other. Those who are trying to fragment us and divide us for their own political interests are enemies of this State and its future generation”, he said.
He added the Congress sees the upcoming elections as an opportunity to establish new bonding between the communities and regions within the State.
Minister said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir and Gandhi Nagar constituency are politically conscious to understand the changed political equations of the State and the designs of various divisive elements.
Mr Bhalla claimed that the Congress has an agenda to serve the people of the State, adding that no Government can be formed in the State after the Assembly elections without the Congress party.
He said Congress party wants to keep the unity and brotherhood in the State intact, adding that Congress has bond of amity and mutual trust in the three regions of the State especially in Gandhi Nagar constituency.
“No political party has demonstrated a greater and more equitable political will to usher Gandhi Nagar constituency into an era of prosperity, connectivity and progress as much as Congress”, Minister stated.
“It has always been our endeavor to ensure a greater connectivity and an increased level of governance in the most of the areas of the State and we have achieved historic success in this mission in the last six years”, he said.
Mr Bhalla added that Congress-led Government had brought more connectivity to the region and brought the administration closer to the people by the creation of New Administrative Units.
Among others present were Santosh, Sunita, Gurcharan Singh, Kulbhushan Sharma, Parveen Singh, Parveen Kumar, Manoj Kumar, Manmohan Singh, Neeraj Choudhary, Omkar Singh, Sachdev, Ashok Kumar Thappa and Prithvi Singh.
