Congress to keep unity, brotherhood intact in State: Malhotra

JAMMU, Nov 19: Appealing the electorates to defeat the communal forces in the upcoming elections to the Assembly, Congress candidate from Jammu East, Vikram Malhotra today said that it is only the Congress party which wants to keep the unity and brotherhood in the State as well as in the country intact.
He added, only Congress can give a stable Government in the State, whether independently or otherwise.
Malhotra was addressing election meetings in the localities of Ward No 15, Peer Mitha, Jullaka Mohalla and Kalli Janni here today.
Seeking people’s mandate in his favour, the State Congress general secretary said that only Congress Government in the State can defeat the evil designs of saffron and green parties and provide the citizens with good governance.
Malhotra further stated that if people want a new paradigm of development and governance in the State which is accompanied by all-round and equitable development, efficiency, transparency and people-friendly image, they will vote for Congress.
He said that his main objective was development and imbibing among the people of Jammu East a feeling of unity irrespective of race, religion or caste.
Malhotra added that he was working actively in Jammu East constituency for the last four years and have spent Rs 4.5 crore on development in all the 11 Wards of the constituency, which include repairs and construction of lanes and drains, tiling work of lanes, building community centres, to establish electric transformers as per the need of the area, to improve water supply schemes of PHE and to improve the basic infra structure of the schools for better future of students.
Later, Malhotra also inaugurated an election office at Peer Mitha.
