Executive Director, (Marketing Sales & Services), Ford India Private Limited, Anurag Mehrotra said here on Wednesday that the Company is on course to commission its new plant in Sanand in Gujarat by first half of 2015. The Sanand plant will double Ford India’s installed manufacturing capacity to a total of 4.4 lakh vehicles a year.
Mehrotra who was here today, talking about the growth plans of Ford in India said that the company currently manufactures vehicles at its plant in Chennai which has an installed capacity of two lakh vehicles per annum and after commissioning of Sanand plant, it would go upto 4.4 lakh vehicles per annum.
