MM-Jai Hind fest goes grand

Started in 1999, Talaash, the college festival of Jai Hind, boasts of a colourful 14-year legacy. A thriving fest organized by the Bachelors of Management Studies department, it has managed to raise the bar of expectation for the audience every year. After the ‘Ride for Safety’ bike rally in September and the breast cancer awareness campaign in October, Talaash 2014 in association with Mumbai Mirror has created a buzz of excitement in the city colleges. This year, it plans to bring in many surprises, making it an event bigger and better than any other.

Setting into motion Talaash this year was the Contingent Leaders Meet on the 6th of November, attended by 21 colleges. This year’s theme - “Dream. Deal. Develop.”- was unveiled to the crowd. As per the design, every contingent leader and assistant contingent leader would be the mayor and deputy mayor of their respective town and must aim at dominating the rest by targeting growth in a number of sectors. The sectors range from medicare to eonomic, ensuring that the festival will be challenging as ever. At the curtain raiser, each college battled and bid for the best fashion show and dance-drama themes, where one representative per college was given an opportunity of raising more points for their own college with an anonymous quiz round.

Fiercely competitive but thrilled, the colleges were left with a promise of an event that would alter their fest experience. Judging by the enthusiastic reception and the excitement they stirred up, Talaash 2014, to be held from 30th Nov to 4th Dec, is bound to be a surprising and exhilarating fest! Are you game?
