Students of a city school on Tuesday received free copies of Formula One — a unique formulae/question bank for class XII-CBSE students.

Launching the scheme offered by The Hindu , in association with Vidhyalok, at SBOA School and Junior College, principal P.C. Selvarani said the question bank would help students excel in mathematics, physics and chemistry.

“Formula One contains a lot of important formulae and concepts in a simplified form. It is a quick reference guide. This will be helpful at the time of examination,” she said.

This is yet another unique initiative to support students in the CBSE stream.

The initiative is also aimed at helping students from Class XII to prepare for board and school examinations and entrance examinations to prestigious institutions like the IITs.

R. Yugesh, a class XII student of SBOA School and Junior College, was selected to receive the first copy for his creative contributions in school. “The material will help me realise my dream of becoming a designer in Information Technology. This has ready-to-use content in maths, physics and chemistry,” he said.

Suraja Srinivas, a teacher, said the material will also be of use to creative students. “The mock board exam should be useful for practice test,” she added.
