Beyond Baroque. Sassy Sorority. Prissy Pants. Like a Rhinestone Cowgirl. The Rhinestone Cowgirl. How Cute! It's a Girl Thing! I Just Have to Have It! Pizzazzzz!

These were just a handful of the more than 300 vendors set up for the passionate shoppers at the Houston Ballet's Nutcracker Market Wells Fargo Preview Party last week. Nearly 5,000 people turned out for the always-anticipated event at NRG Center, during which they were able to peruse and purchase wares before the (even larger) masses filed in for the next four days.

Throughout the tropical-themed soirée, chaired this year by Kristy Bradshaw, Allison Flikerski and Beth Wolff, attendees noshed on chicken skewers, battered shrimp and sliders between sips of wine as they strolled down boulevards of booths. With Christmas music ringing the cavernous hall and Texas-size sparkle at every turn, it was hard not to get caught up in the holiday spirit to spend.
