Japanese electronics titan to showcase wares in Yangon, Mandalay

OSAKA -- Panasonic has mapped out aggressive expansion plans for Myanmar that include opening two large showrooms, training sales agencies, offering hands-on events for customers and setting up maintenance services.

     By showcasing a wide range of products, both for commercial users and the general public, the company aims to catch the rising wave of demand as Myanmar's economy grows. It expects to garner revenue of 10 billion yen ($85.1 million) in fiscal 2018, triple its sales for last fiscal year.
